How much cam models make depends on how many viewers pay them and how much of each payment the site lets them keep, and the sites’ own terms show a wide range. Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and CamSoda pay models $0.05 for every token they earn (CamSoda says its rate may vary by region), which comes to between 36% and 63% of what viewers paid, depending on the token package, at the sites that publish their prices. BongaCams’ FAQ for viewers puts its rate at €0.025 a token. LiveJasmin pays 30% to 80% of what members pay, depending on the model’s level in each 14-day period, and ImLive’s host agreement leaves a standard host 27% of what members pay for a chat.
None of the ten sites we checked publishes a median income. What they publish are payout rates, show prices and recruiting claims, mostly about their top earners, so this guide compares those: what each site pays, what an hour of private show is worth at its published prices, what comes out before you’re paid, and how bringing your own fans changes the maths. Every platform figure comes from the sites’ own help pages, wikis, sign-up pages, model agreements and press releases, checked on 23 October 2026, and the tax figures come from the IRS.
Key Takeaways
- Most token sites pay $0.05 a token. Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and CamSoda all quote $0.05, so 100 tokens is $5.00 to the model, though CamSoda says its rate may vary by region. BongaCams quotes €0.025.
- Your share of what viewers spend depends on the package they bought. MyFreeCams’ own table puts it at 50.00% to 63.13%. CamSoda’s public prices give 35.8% to 62.0%, and BongaCams’ give 32.6% to 50.8%.
- Percentage sites reward volume or your own fans. LiveJasmin pays 30% at its lowest level and 80% from $30,000 in a 14-day period, and the level resets every period. ImLive takes a 73% fee on a standard chat but 30% when the member is one you brought to the site.
- Bringing your own viewers pays extra. Chaturbate and Stripchat pay 20% of what new viewers you refer spend on tokens, and BongaCams up to 25%, on top of the token rate.
- A private show pays $24 to $450 an hour on Stripchat at its published price range, and a fixed $180 an hour on MyFreeCams, but only while the show is running.
- Payout minimums run from $10 to $500 depending on the site and method. Fees run from nothing to flat charges such as Chaturbate’s $45 for a Bitcoin payout, or percentages such as LiveJasmin’s 3.8% for crypto.
- Top-earner figures are recruiting claims. LiveJasmin says its top model made over $3.4 million in 2024, and MyFreeCams says its top models make over $40,000 a month. Neither says what a typical model makes.
- In the US, tax comes on top. The IRS charges 15.3% self-employment tax once net self-employment earnings reach $400, on top of income tax.
Cam Site Payout Rates Compared
Here is what each site says it pays models, and when. Where a site sells tokens at public prices, the share column is what the model receives as a percentage of what the viewer paid, worked out from the site’s own numbers.
| Site | How models are paid | Model’s share | Minimum payout | When you’re paid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | $0.05 per token | 62.5% on tokens bought by wire; card prices not public | $50 ($200 for crypto and FedEx checks) | Twice a month, within 7 business days of each period |
| Stripchat | $0.05 per token | Over 55% on average, by its own account | $50 to $500, by method | Weekly, usually on Tuesdays |

| BongaCams | €0.025 per token, per its viewer FAQ | 32.6% to 50.8% by package; it claims about 50% | $50 ($100 for studios) | Weekly, on Fridays |
| CamSoda | $0.05 per token, which may vary by region | 35.8% to 62.0%, by package | $20 ($500 for wires, per its FAQ; its earnings guide says $100) | Weekly, usually by Thursday, per its FAQ; its earnings guide says weekly or twice a month |
| Cam4 | Says models keep 100% of their tokens, but doesn’t publish what a token is worth in cash | 80% of fan club subscriptions paid by card | $50 | On request while you’re broadcasting; sent daily or weekly by method |
| LiveJasmin | Percentage by level, reset every 14 days | 30% to 80% by level; 80% on fan club income | $100 ($300 for SEPA or international wire) | 25 days after each 14-day period |
| ImLive | Percentage of what members pay; ImLive pays $1 for every credit a host earns | 27% on standard chats; 70% of what new members you bring spend in your chats | $50 | Twice a month, on the 16th and the 1st |
| Flirt4Free | Percentage of net revenue shown in the model admin | Not published | Not published | Every two weeks, says its recruiting site; its agreement allows up to 30 days after month end |
| Streamate | Not on the parts of its model site we could read | Not found | Not found | Weekly, according to its model site |
How Cam Sites Pay Models
Token sites pay a fixed amount per token
Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams, CamSoda and BongaCams sell tokens to viewers and say they pay the model a fixed amount for each token earned, whatever the viewer paid for it. Chaturbate’s help centre puts it plainly: “Tokens convert to cash at a rate of $0.05 each.” Stripchat says “models are always paid the same amount ($0.05) per token”, MyFreeCams that “the model is paid USD$0.05 per token”, and CamSoda that each token is worth $0.05 to models, with a footnote that this may vary by region. BongaCams states its rate in euros, in its FAQ for viewers: “Models are always paid the same amount (0.025 €) per Token”. Its model pages give minimums and fees in dollars, and its model agreement describes pay as a percentage of what members pay that varies by type of service.
Because viewers pay less per token in bigger packages, the model’s share of what was spent depends on what the viewer bought. MyFreeCams publishes the sums itself, from 50.00% on its smallest package (200 tokens for $19.99) to 63.13% on its largest (7,575 tokens for $599.99), and says that “On average, over 60% of all (gross) money spent on MyFreeCams.com is sent to models.” CamSoda’s public packages run from 50 tokens for $6.99 to 3,100 tokens for $249.99, before local price differences, which gives the model 35.8% to 62.0%, though its sign-up page promises a revenue share of 55% or more and its earnings guide says models keep about 60%. BongaCams’ card prices run from 39 tokens for €2.99 to 50,800 tokens for €2,500, or 32.6% to 50.8%, although its viewer FAQ says about 50% of a viewer’s money goes to models and its model site promises over 50%. Chaturbate publishes only its wire-transfer price, “All purchases are credited at $0.08 per token”, which leaves the model 62.5%. Stripchat doesn’t publish its packages but says that “On average, over 55% of all user spending is paid out”.
Stripchat’s sign-up page gives a worked example for one large package, with a footnote that the numbers vary by currency, package and payment method. Of a $199.99 package, it says $40 goes on bringing in new users and $28 on processing fees and taxes, leaving $132, of which the model’s share is $118 and Stripchat’s $14. The model’s $118 is 59% of what the viewer paid.
Percentage sites pay a share that moves
LiveJasmin, ImLive and Flirt4Free pay a percentage instead. LiveJasmin’s share depends on how much a model earns in each 14-day invoicing period, and its model wiki warns: “Your level resets to Level 1 at the beginning of every period.” Online and offline earnings are levelled separately, and the same page promises up to 100% income share, though its table stops at 80% and doesn’t say how more is reached.
| LiveJasmin level | Earnings in the period | Model’s share |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | $0 to $250 | 30% |
| Level 2 | $250 to $500 | 35% |
| Level 3 | $500 to $1,000 | 40% |
| Level 4 | $1,000 to $2,000 | 45% |
| Level 5 | $2,000 to $4,000 | 50% |
| Level 6 | $4,000 to $8,000 | 60% |
| Level 7 | $8,000 to $15,000 | 65% |
| Level 8 | $15,000 to $30,000 | 70% |
| Level 9 | $30,000 and above | 80% |
Some LiveJasmin income sits outside the levels: its Fan Club page says “You keep 80% of everything—subscriptions and extra purchases.”
ImLive’s host agreement sets the split as a fee. For per-minute chats in its Live Sex Chat zone, outside its Special Deals sites, “The Company Fee is seventy-three percent (73%)” of what members pay, so the host keeps 27%. When a member pays with bonus credits, the fee is 88% and the host keeps 12%. The fee is 70% for ImLive Diamond hosts and 65% for Hall of Fame hosts, and when the host brought the member to the site it drops to 30%, leaving the host 70%. ImLive’s recruiting page advertises that hosts receive between 27% and 100% of what members pay; the agreement doesn’t explain the 100%, and its bonus-credit fee takes hosts below 27%.
Flirt4Free doesn’t publish a figure. Its broadcaster agreement pays “the percentage of the Net Revenue” shown in the model’s account admin, and net revenue is what users paid, excluding taxes such as VAT, less transaction costs, chargebacks and refunds.
Cam4 and Streamate
Cam4 says “CAM4 never takes a cut of the earnings you make in your room. Keep 100% of your tokens.” None of the pages we could read says what an earned token is worth in cash, so that promise can’t be converted into dollars. Fan clubs are clearer: “You receive 80% of the subscription price on any Fan Club subscription made via credit card.” Streamate’s model site loads its content with JavaScript, so all we could read was its summary text, which promises a weekly paycheck and says models can make up to $10,000 a week but gives no payout rate.
How Much Do Cam Models Make Per Hour?
Stripchat and BongaCams show an hourly income estimate on their sign-up pages, but each is based on the visitor’s region, so we don’t quote them. BongaCams’ own example of about $1,300 for a 20-hour week works out at $65 an hour; treat it as a recruiting figure. What several sites do publish is the per-minute price models can charge for private shows, and that sets what an hour of private show pays. The figures below are the model’s side, after the site’s cut. They apply only while a paid show is running, so they don’t count time in free chat, where income depends on tips.
| Site | Private show price | Model earns per minute | Per hour of private show |
|---|---|---|---|
| MyFreeCams | 60 tokens a minute, fixed (TruePrivate: 80) | $3.00 ($4.00) | $180 ($240) |
| Stripchat | 8 to 150 tokens a minute | $0.40 to $7.50 | $24 to $450 |
| BongaCams | 30 to 250 tokens a minute (full private: up to 300) | €0.75 to €6.25 | €45 to €375 |
| CamSoda | 6 to 120 tokens a minute, its typical range | $0.30 to $6.00 | $18 to $360 |
| ImLive | 0.98 to 14.90 credits a minute | $0.26 to $4.02 at 27%, counting a credit as $1 | $16 to $241 |
Five sites aren’t in the table. Chaturbate charges private shows “at a rate selected by you” and publishes no limits. Cam4 offers private-show prices from 6 to 120 tokens a minute but doesn’t publish a token’s cash value. LiveJasmin’s minimum is 2.49 credits a minute once a model’s promotion period and newbie status end, with no published maximum. Flirt4Free and Streamate publish no per-minute price range on the pages we could read.
Viewers pay more than the model receives. CamSoda’s own pricing page puts the same 6 to 120 token private show at $0.60 to $12 a minute, counting a token at about $0.10, or twice what the model receives; on its published packages, viewers pay about $0.08 to $0.14 a token, 1.6 to 2.8 times the model’s $0.05. Spies add to a private show’s pay: on MyFreeCams each spy pays the model $1.00 a minute, so its wiki’s example of a private show with two people spying pays the model $5.00 a minute.
What Cam Sites Say Their Top Models Earn
Most sites publish an earnings figure of some kind, and almost all of them describe their best performers. These are the sites’ own words:
| Site | What it says | Where |
|---|---|---|
| LiveJasmin | “In 2024, LiveJasmin’s top-earning model made over $3.4 million, with several others surpassing $1 million.” | June 2025 press release |
| MyFreeCams | “The top models make over $40,000 per month, and many models make over $10,000 per month.” | Payment page of its model wiki, edited April 2026 (an older wiki page says $50,000) |
| CamSoda | Top 1% performers: $20,000 to $50,000+ a month; full-time models (30 hours or more a week): $3,000 to $10,000+ | Model earnings guide |
| Stripchat | “Successful models can earn more than $20,000 per month.” | Help centre guide for models |
| BongaCams | “Our models make from $300 a day to $20 000 a week.” | Model FAQ |
| Flirt4Free | “many of our top models average $1,000/day in commission” | Webcam4Money, its recruiting site, which calls the figures an estimate |
| Streamate | Models can “make up to $10,000 each week” | Model sign-up site |
Treat all of these as recruiting claims, not typical results. Most describe top performers. CamSoda presents its bands as what most active models earn, including $800 to $2,500 a month for about 10 hours a week, but cites no data, and the same guide disagrees with CamSoda’s own FAQ on several payout details. Other sites’ part-time figures are higher: BongaCams says 20 hours a week could earn around $1,300 a week, and Flirt4Free’s recruiting site puts a 10-hour week at $1,250 by scaling up its top-model average.
Which Cam Site Pays Models the Most?
On the published terms, no single site wins on every measure. Three things decide it:
- The share of what viewers spend. Among the sites that publish full token price lists, MyFreeCams has the highest floor: no package pays the model less than 50%. BongaCams’ smallest package pays the model 32.6%.
- Volume, on percentage sites. LiveJasmin’s level system pays 80% only from $30,000 of earnings in a 14-day period, and every period starts again at 30%, though its fan club pays 80% at any level.
- Where your viewers come from. A share only matters if viewers pay. The site where your audience already is, and the sites that pay more for viewers you bring yourself, can beat a better headline rate.
If you also sell subscriptions, compare the creator platforms too: OnlyFans keeps 20% of each fan payment, as our OnlyFans statistics show.
What Comes Out Before You’re Paid
Payout fees and minimums
- Chaturbate: a $50 minimum for most methods, $200 for crypto and FedEx checks. Its payout page lists $0.50 for Paxum, $1.00 for CosmoPayment, $8.95 for SEPA and $45 for Bitcoin or Ethereum, while ACH direct deposit and USPS checks are free. Daily payouts add “a $3.95 fee”.
- Stripchat: “All payout methods are free of charge for models/studios”, though its crypto article says 1% is deducted to cover conversion and network fees.
- MyFreeCams: free except international wire, which costs $15 plus any fee your bank charges, and needs at least $500.
- LiveJasmin: fees depend on the method: €/$0.75 per Paxum transfer, 0.4% for Cosmo Payment, 1% for SEPA or ACH (minimum €5 or $5), 1% for an international wire (minimum €30 or $50), 3.8% for crypto and 2.3% plus 2.50 for a card. Fast payout costs 1% (minimum $5, maximum $150) and instant payout 3%.
- BongaCams: regular Paxum payouts are free, WebMoney costs 3%, a wire costs individuals $6 (in mainly European countries), and card payouts cost 1.5% plus $2.50 in dollars, or 2.7% to 2.9% plus a small fixed fee in euros. On-request Paxum payouts cost $1.
- Cam4: several methods are free, including euro wires and Canadian direct deposit; Pinguino costs $5.
Chargebacks and refunds
Who carries a chargeback varies. Flirt4Free’s operator, VS Media, “is not required to pay Broadcaster Revenue with respect to any transaction that is subject to a refund or chargeback”, and ImLive’s agreement says host payments tied to a member’s chargeback or refund are not payable and can be reclaimed. Stripchat says it “handles almost all Chargebacks and Refunds (Fraud transactions) without taking any tokens back from the models”, and MyFreeCams advertises “Chargeback Protection – You keep what you earn.” Cam4’s billing FAQ mentions a 3-day reserve and a chargeback policy but doesn’t publish the details.
Studios
If you work through a studio, the site usually pays the studio, not you. On Chaturbate, studio broadcasters’ “token balance will be sent to the studio every night automatically”. LiveJasmin’s studio registration page says “(All earnings go to the Studio owner)”. Stripchat pays studios $0.05 per token and says “it’s up to you to decide how to split it with models”. Flirt4Free pays the account holder, who pays any studio or streamer working under the account. A studio model’s real share is whatever the studio contract says, so read it before you sign.
Tax
Cam sites generally treat independent models as contractors, not employees. Flirt4Free’s agreement says “The parties intend that their relationship will be that of independent contractors”, and MyFreeCams says it sends a 1099 tax form to US models who earn over $600 a year. In the US that makes camming self-employment for independent models; if you work through a studio, your tax position depends on your contract with the studio. According to the IRS, “The self-employment tax rate is 15.3%”, made up of 12.4% for Social Security and 2.9% for Medicare. It’s due once your net earnings from self-employment are $400 or more, the Social Security part applies to the first $184,500 of combined wages and self-employment earnings in 2026, according to IRS Topic 751, and an extra 0.9% Medicare tax applies above $200,000 for single filers. Income tax comes on top. For tax years after 2025, the IRS reporting threshold for Form 1099-NEC is $2,000, and payment apps send a Form 1099-K when payments total over $20,000 in more than 200 transactions. Outside the US the rules differ, so check with a local accountant.
Earn More by Bringing Your Own Fans
Several sites pay more for viewers you bring than for viewers they send you:
- Chaturbate says that through its affiliate program you “can earn 20% of all token purchases from referred new CB users”.
- Stripchat pays 20% whenever a fan you referred buys tokens.
- BongaCams says you can invite new members and get “up to 25% of all their purchases”.
- ImLive cuts its fee from 73% to 30% on what a member you brought spends in your chats, so you keep 70% instead of 27%.
- Flirt4Free says that “When models bring new customers to the site, they are paid double the lifetime credits of what those customers spend on them.”
- LiveJasmin pays a commission on what members you refer spend, which its studio guide calls lifetime, though the rate isn’t published on the pages we could read. Separately, “You receive 10% commission from your referred models’ earnings for 1 full year.”
On the token sites, each token still pays the same rate, and the referral commission comes on top for new viewers who sign up through your link; each site sets its own rules for who counts. Either way, the models who are found outside the platform, through search results for their stage name, a personal site and social profiles, depend less on any one site’s own rankings. If you perform under a stage name, our guide to porn star reputation management covers keeping your legal name out of those results.
That outside traffic is what our adult webcam models SEO service builds: it ranks “your stage name, profile and clips so fans find you by name, not a random aggregator.”
How Adult SEO Minds Helps Cam Models and Studios
Every rate in this guide multiplies by one thing: paying viewers. The sites send some through their own listings, but viewers who come looking for you by name are the part you can build yourself, and that’s the part we work on.
- Stage-name and profile SEO. We rank your stage name, profile and clips on Google and AI search, so fans who search for you find your room, not an aggregator.
- Chaturbate rooms. As an SEO company for Chaturbate, we rank Chaturbate profiles, rooms and studios on Google and AI search so the right viewers find you first.
- Studios. For studios and agencies, we build repeatable SEO across the whole roster to grow bookings and revenue per model.
- Cam sites and platforms. If you run a cam site, our guide to adult chat site SEO covers the indexing problems live platforms face, and our adult website development team builds live cam platforms. If you’d rather start with a white label, our guide on how to start a porn site compares the options.
- Creators on several platforms. If you also sell subscriptions, our OnlyFans marketing agency runs SEO, Reddit and conversion work for creator pages.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do cam models make?
It depends on the site’s payout rate and on how many viewers pay. Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and CamSoda pay $0.05 per token, BongaCams €0.025, and LiveJasmin 30% to 80% of what members pay, by level. No site publishes a median income. Most of the figures they do publish, such as MyFreeCams’ “top models make over $40,000 per month”, describe their best performers, and the rest are recruiting estimates.
What is the highest paying cam site?
It depends on what you measure. Among sites that publish full token price lists, MyFreeCams pays the highest minimum share, 50% of what viewers spend on its smallest package and up to 63.13% on its largest. LiveJasmin’s level system pays up to 80%, but only from $30,000 of earnings in a 14-day period, while its fan club pays 80% at any level. ImLive lets hosts keep 70% of what new members they brought spend in their own chats.
How many dollars are 100 tokens on Chaturbate?
To the model, 100 tokens are worth $5.00, because Chaturbate converts tokens to cash at $0.05 each. Viewers pay more: Chaturbate credits wire-transfer purchases at $0.08 a token, so 100 tokens cost $8.00 at the wire rate, though a wire purchase must be at least $250, and card prices are shown only after logging in.
How much do cam models make an hour?
Only the time in paid shows has a published price. Stripchat and BongaCams show hourly income estimates on their sign-up pages, but they depend on your region and are recruiting figures. A private show pays the model $180 an hour on MyFreeCams, $24 to $450 an hour on Stripchat and $18 to $360 an hour on CamSoda, at their published or typical prices. Time outside paid shows depends on tips and other sales, so real hourly income is whatever mix of the two you get.
What percentage do cam sites take?
On token sites the share the site retains, before its own costs, depends on the package the viewer bought: MyFreeCams retains 36.87% to 50.00%, CamSoda 38.0% to 64.2% and BongaCams 49.2% to 67.4%, worked out from their published prices. LiveJasmin keeps 20% to 70% depending on the model’s level, and ImLive’s fee is 73% on standard chats.
Do cam models make good money?
Some do: LiveJasmin says its top model made over $3.4 million in 2024. But the sites publish no median, and their own figures mostly describe top performers. What you make depends on the hours you put in, your prices and, above all, how many paying viewers find you.
How do cam models get paid?
Sites pay on a schedule once you pass a minimum: weekly on Stripchat, BongaCams and CamSoda, twice a month on Chaturbate, MyFreeCams and ImLive, and 25 days after each 14-day period on LiveJasmin. Minimums run from $10 to $500 depending on the site and method, and options include direct deposit, wire, checks, e-wallets such as Paxum, and crypto on some sites.
Do cam models pay taxes?
Yes. Cam sites generally treat independent models as contractors, so in the US their camming income is self-employment income: the IRS charges 15.3% self-employment tax once net self-employment earnings reach $400, on top of income tax. Rules differ in other countries, so check with a local accountant.
The Short Version
Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and CamSoda pay $0.05 a token, which is 36% to 63% of what viewers paid at the sites that publish their prices. Percentage sites mostly pay from 27% (ImLive’s standard chats) to 80% (LiveJasmin’s top level), though ImLive pays hosts only 12% when members use bonus credits. A private show is worth $180 an hour on MyFreeCams and up to $450 on Stripchat at its highest price, but only while it runs, and fees, studio splits, tax and, on some sites, chargebacks come out before you keep anything. Top-earner claims describe a few performers. No site publishes a median, and the averages and bands some sites show are recruiting material. The lever a model can work on is traffic: the more paying viewers who come looking for you, the more each of these rates is worth.
